The biggest symbol of Holocaust – a day tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau camp
Learn about machinery of mass extermination and pay tribute to hundred thousand of victims.
Auschwitz, the largest concentration camp of Nazi Germany during the II WW, was established in the suburbs of the city of Oswiecim (Auschwitz in German), approximately 60 kilometers west of Krakow.
The fortified walls, barbed wire, barracks, gallows, gas chambers and cremation ovens leave a big impression, partly because it allows to imagine the scale of the Holocaust.
Our tour will last around 7 hours. After arriving to Oswiecim, you will visit the place where the 1st camp for man and women was created – Auschwitz. This tour usually takes 2 hours. After short break we will take you to Birkenau where you and your guide will spend another hour. Additionally, at the end of the day we offer you a transport to local restaurant or booking a table in recommended Krakow’s restaurant.
Although the admission to the grounds of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial is free of charge, for better understanding the history of Auschwitz we suggest to book a visit with a guide or to buy a bookguide (available in selected languages) on the spot.
